This is a photo of a tooth from an extinct animal that lived 40000 year ago that has marking on it that researchers have said that it was made by a human. This is important to the present of aboriginal culture because it proves that the indigenous Australians have been here for at least that long.

This photo is of a model that was made to represent Bungil and Waa, the gods for the indigenous people of the Melbourne area. In the gallery there was a voice over that told the creation stories and the importance of the Bungil and Waa. This is relevant to the present as many indigenous Australians still believe these creation stories

A possum skin coat which was worn by aboriginal elders is shown in this photo. In further detail, there are many different designs on the coat that represent the connection that the people had for their country. This is important to the past aboriginal culture as it is the largest possum skin coat that is left, therefore it is important to preserve it.
